Pros:new maps is the promise of it, so I bought a promise, that is all I bought, except for the fact that they are 'maps'
Cons:these maps are not ocean-enclosed maps but rather end at the end of the monitor screen--no live interaction between seas surrounding landmasses and landmasses. This is a great mistake. Whether we are dealing with a segmental map of the mideast or africa, the inability to interact with the surrounding sea or ocean is a gross omission. Why play a map bound by the entirely artificial borders of the map 'edge' when there are FREE maps that include the ability to circumnavigate from east to west with no obstacle but the vanishing fog of war?! The internal variability of these maps is a joke, so that one 'selling point' is entirely lame and misleading. There is nothing more interesting about these maps than the maps that come with the game or the maps and map scripts one can download on Steam for free to use with Civ 5.

Overall Review:I recommend that you look for free maps and free map-scripts for civ 5, not this; this is a waste of money for which there is no refund. What a pathetic thing to have bought only a 'name' that sounds so cool but is in reality so entirely LAME: 'scrambled nations map pack' better named 'worthless waste of money map pack'.Really.I have logged not less than a thousand hours playing every iteration of Civ5 since first it was released, paid retail for everything about it, and this is the worst piece of work put out by this company. If Civ5 was this BAD I would have written similar reviews of the game itself. The only motivation for this map pack is GREED!
